Colin Dunn, Principal
Leadership, Planning, and Communications Trainer
Colin Dunn has over 20 years of experience training leaders and facilitating strategic planning. A successful business owner, college professor and career Army officer, Colin brings a wealth of experience into the classroom and leaves participants with practical tools to help take themselves and their organizations to the next level. Colinís experience is rich in varietyófrom working at CNN in Atlanta to magazine editor to Professor of English at West Point. He is also a proven successful leader, personally directing organizations up to 800 people, both domestically and internationally. Colin has developed leadership courses adopted by the National Defense University and the American Management Association.
Colin claims he has learned more about leadership and communications from raising five children than from any other experience.
Rich St. Denis, Principal
Leadership, Planning, and Communications Trainer
Rich has over 16 years of experience in designing and delivering more than 500 leadership training workshops including executive leadership, team leadership, team building, conflict resolution, and advanced leadership communication skills. In addition, Rich has had over 20 years of federal leadership experience, serving as a commissioned officer in the US Army.
He is a proven successful leader in 8 different leadership positions from the supervisory and team level to the executive level. A member of the faculty of the English Department at West Point, Rich specialized in organizational communications, presentation skills, and business writing. He has developed and taught eight of the American Management Associationís most attended leadership and communication programs.
Rich has taught more than 500 leadership workshops on behalf of the Department of Defense, the American Management Association, numerous organizations in the public, private, and non-profit sectors.
Mary Connors, Principal
Leadership, Executive Coach and Strategic Visioning Consultant
A PhD candidate (Organizational Development) at Fielding University, Mary has 25 years of business experience in coaching, counseling and mentoring federal agency, private sector and not-for-profit leaders.
She created "The Team Institute" to assist organizations build the infrastructure and curriculum needed to create co-located and virtual team-based organizations. She is the founder of "The Executive Development Institute," which initiates partnerships with agencies for the creation of learning systems and curricula for the professional development of their associates. Mary is also a graduate professor at two universities; creator of graduate certification programs; leader in distance learning technology, and a member of the founding faculty and curriculum designer for an entrepreneurial center, which supports the leadership and managerial development of small business owners.
Mary is a successful business entrepreneur, and has built a successful consulting firm with offices in Maryland, Florida and Ireland.
Dr. Simon W. (Skip) Ulmer, Principal
Business-to-Business and Business-to-Consumer Consultant
Dr. Ulmer specializes in Strategic Planning, Marketing, Customer Service, Leadership, and Motivational Speaking.
Dr. Ulmerís experience includes over 25 years in corporate America. For eight years he served as Vice President and General Manager of the Specialty Original Equipment Manufacturer Insulation Division of the $2 billion Johns Manville Corporation in Denver, Colorado. Prior to joining Johns Manville in 1991, Dr. Ulmer held a variety of sales, marketing, and business management positions within the Fibers Group of the DuPont Company in Wilmington, Delaware.
A native of Buffalo, New York, Dr. Ulmer has a doctorate in chemistry from Cornell University and has lectured for the University of Delaware, Denver University, and the American Management Association. Every year since 2001, Dr. Ulmer has delivered strategic planning consulting and training to over 650 Action Officers of the Air and Army National Guard.
Kevin Lewis, Principal
Coaching, Collaboration Management Consultant, and Trainer
Kevin Lewis has 20+ years of experience developing, directing and managing Operational, Technology and Systems Research projects for Defense, Government and Commercial organizations. During his career he has led research projects for the National Research Council, managed international collaboration efforts for the Department of Commerce and conducted training for the U.S. Armyís SHARP program. He also serves as an adjunct professor for Northern Virginia Community College where he teaches business fundamentals and coaches young emerging leaders as they enter the business community. Mr. Lewis holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Engineering from the United States Military Academy and a Masters degree in Business Management from Central Michigan University.
He is a published author and is excited to be a participant in his alma materís Wounded Warrior Mentorship Program where he can give to those who have given much for this country.
