TEAM BUILDING
Teambuilding: The Power of Teams (Two Days)
Target Audience: Everyone
President Franklin D. Roosevelt said "People acting together as a group can accomplish things which no individual acting alone could ever hope to bring about." How does a work group become a high-performing team? What can leaders and team members do to enhance team performance? How can diverse perspectives and individual preferences drive a team to excel? This seminar focuses on the dynamics of team performance and how to maximize team morale and results. In addition, this seminar will help teams:

  • Improve group performance and accelerate the attainment of objectives
  • Adapt to changing work environments and work demands
  • Build higher levels of motivation among team members
  • Improve communication among team members
  • Promote better decisions and greater acceptance of decisions
  • Build confidence, promote creativity, and foster innovation

Teambuilding: MBTI (Myers-Briggs Type Identifier)
Target Audience: Everyone
Teams work together best when people understand one another. The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) assessment is a psychometric questionnaire designed to measure psychological preferences in how people perceive the world and make decisions. The MBTI instrument is called "the best-known and most trusted personality assessment tool available today" by its publisher, CPP (formerly Consulting Psychologists Press). The MBTI tool is the world’s most widely used personality assessment, with as many as two million assessments administered annually.

This intense one-day training session includes:

  • Introducing and administering the MBTI
  • Interpreting the MBTI results to help individuals understand themselves and others better (strengths, weaknesses, preferences)
  • Facilitating discussions that promote a more cohesive, high performing staff or team

Managing Emotions and Stress in the Workplace (Two Days)
Target Audience: Everyone
Numerous surveys and studies confirm that occupational pressures and fears are far and away the leading source of stress for American adults, and that these have steadily increased over the past few decades. The result: more time and productivity lost. Lower quality of life. More employee disengagement.

While there is no "silver bullet" to reduce the effects of workplace stress, there are proven approaches. This course exposes six practical strategies that individuals and leaders can follow to mitigate and even mute the negative effects of stress and destructive emotions in the workplace.

By the end of this course, you will be better able to:

  • Define some key causes of stress, and identify remedies to relieve stress.
  • Realize the effects of stress and how to cope with them.
  • Apply humor and perspective-changing to enrich your work and home life.
  • Understand the four communication styles, and your own communication preferences.
  • "Flex" your communication style in order to connect with others.
  • Chart your personal path to reduce the negative effects of stress in your life.
  • Understand how high emotional intelligence contributes to greater success, as well as how low emotional intelligence has negative consequences.
  • Increase your personal level of emotional intelligence...and that of others.
  • Apply the principles and practices of emotional intelligence in order to become a more effective team member.
  • Use emotional intelligence skills to handle distressing workplace situations.
