COMMUNICATION WORKSHOPS

Communicating with Tact, Diplomacy, and Professionalism

Tact, diplomacy, and professionalism add up to common courtesy, the ability to see yourself as others see you, and being able to look at situations through the eyes of others. These three concepts drive the effective practices that we learn and role-plays in this workshop.

Winning Presentation Skills

We will cover extemporaneous and impromptu presentations, persuasion, stage fright, and organization.  The course will help you build rapport, present information in an organized way, support claims, and speak with confidence.  You will be introduced to practical advice that will improve not only the content of your presentations but also your delivery.

Each participant will give several presentations, including an impromptu presentation, and will be coached by the instructor.

Advanced Business Writing

As E.B. White said, the only way to learn how to write is by doing it. And so we will! Each participant will write and edit 8 documents, leading up to a persuasive memo to “graduate” from the workshop. Optional individual coaching during lunch or after the workshop will be available at no extra cost.

Becoming a Better Communicator

As George Bernard Shaw said, “The biggest problem with communications is the illusion that it has taken place.” In this workshop we focus on the three C’s of workplace communication: Clear, Connect, and Care. Using participant examples and proven principles, we will refresh our communications skills and practice them.
